Setup for Things Every Developer Should Know

• PC: Windows 10 or later or Mac: OS X Mountain Lion (version 10.8) or later
• Google Chrome
• Visual Studio Code

The Webucator Folder

Create a new folder named Webucator wherever you want, but make sure you remember where it is.

• On Windows, a good place to create this is directly on your C drive.
• On Mac, a good place to create this is directly in your Home directory.

Visual Studio Code

You will learn a little bit about using Visual Studio Code, a popular editor for many programming languages. 

1. Download Visual Studio Code for your operating system.
2. Install Visual Studio Code:
   • Instructions for Windows.
   • Instructions for Mac.

Getting the Class Files

1. Download the class files found at the bottom of this page or within your self-paced course.
2. Unzip the class files into the Webucator folder. This will create a folder called ClassFiles. Change the folder name to DEV101 or DEV102. The structure should look like this:
