Course Overview

In this Web Accessibility, "A11Y", course, students will learn how and why to create websites that meet the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the U.S. government's Section 508 standards for website accessibility. This class targets web designers and developers, i.e., the people who will be responsible for creating the accessible pages. Students attending this class will benefit by have prior knowledge of web design, HTML, and CSS. This course addresses the new federal web accessibility requirements, "508 Refresh," that took effect in January 2018, as well as the existing requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

For private classes, we will work with you to determine your training needs to create a custom class. Your website's technology and database, compliance concerns, and student skill level will all be taken into account to customize the best class for your team.
